Kenneling a dog so they cannot get to \u201cthe pack\u201d teaches them to become self-dependent. In other words, they don\u2019t have to be near you or leaning on you to function and survive. A dog <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">without<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> separation anxiety will follow you to the bathroom, but instead of scratching on the door will instead go lay down or chew his toy. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another reason to kennel train is to keep the dog used to a crate. When a dog gets injured and has to stay at the veterinarian, they kennel the dog. When a dog gets boarded or goes to a groomer, they kennel the dog.
