The best way to train a dog is to become the pack leader and you cannot become the pack leader using treats, harnesses, gentle leaders, or anything similar. \u00a0Sure, you can coax a dog into sitting or downing with a treat. \u00a0Maybe your dog will walk better for you on a gentle leader. \u00a0However, when taking those things away, will your dog do the same thing? \u00a0Or will you always have to have treats in your pocket or a noose around the dog\u2019s nose to get him\/her to behave or listen?<\/p>\n

Training collars are used because, in a dog\u2019s world, knowledge of dominance is done around the neck. \u00a0When a puppy in a litter keeps relentlessly squeezing his way in for milk when the mother has had enough, the mother will correct the puppy by grabbing the puppy with her mouth around the neck to say \"No!\". \u00a0When one dog tries to show dominance over another, that dog will usually pin a dog down using its mouth, around the neck. \u00a0Afterward, usually one dog leaves being dominant and the other dog leaves submitting. \u00a0When that does not happen, there is a fight. \u00a0You don\u2019t have one dog feeding another dog a treat to establish dominance or go for the other dog\u2019s nose to show who is the boss. \u00a0We believe in being the pack leader in your household and the best way to do that is with training collars.<\/span><\/p>\n
